Blast Competitive

Ages 8–19 — High-possession soccer. D.R.E.A.M. development. National-level results.

Minnesota's Smallest Club With the Biggest Results

The Blast Competitive program is built for serious players who want to be challenged both mentally and physically. We don't follow the crowd — we build players carefully and completely.

Our high-possession style of play requires every player on the field to develop the technical tools of the game. We use proven possession metrics to quantify progress, and our coaches monitor individual player objectives through three distinct seasons.

The result is a club with multiple National Championships, 18 tournament titles in a single year, and a development pipeline that consistently prepares players for collegiate programs.

It's All About the Touches

Most programs begin with less than ten minutes of individual work, then quickly move to scrimmages where one ball is shared among six or seven players. The players who need development most get the fewest touches.

Our Blast sessions are different. We build from one and two players per ball up to small groups, progressively increasing complexity. Very few sessions end in a scrimmage — because structured technical work develops the skills needed to compete at the highest levels far more effectively.

The result: Blast players are technically superior, tactically aware, and confident with the ball at their feet in every situation.

Three Seasons of Development

Our coaches set and monitor individual player objectives through three distinct development phases each year.

Fall

August – November

Team building, tactical foundations, league play begins. Players establish baseline development objectives with their coaching staff.

Winter

December – March

Intensified technical training, indoor sessions, fitness development. Mid-season assessment helps players reset their development targets.

Spring / Summer

April – July

Tournament competition, league play concludes, end-of-season evaluations. Players use events to challenge — not just validate — their development progress.

League Play & Tournaments

Blast's historic success comes from our willingness to be different. We build players carefully and completely. It is not about volume, but the quality and timing of our events so we can truly measure progress and develop players.

Our teams compete in established league systems and selectively participate in tournaments that challenge our development — not simply validate it. This intentional approach to competition is a key reason Blast consistently produces national-level results from a smaller club.

Pathway to College Soccer

For older players, Blast provides clear pathways to develop the technical skillsets, tactical awareness, and cultural and social behaviors needed to successfully prepare for and contribute to a collegiate athletic program.

Our development process keeps players actively engaged in making sure their personal milestones are clearly linked to their long-term goals.
